EU "Democracy"

So the German foreign minister Steinmeier and colleagues from the other 5 original EEC founders have met and decided what is to happen on Brexit negotiations. So much of the referendum debate, when not about immigration, was about "democracy". A lot of it was ignorant and ill-informed. But to then have this 6 meet and purport to talk for 27 displays profound arrogance. The EU faces huge challenges. But it will not address them by undermining its own democratic structures and allowing these 6 with no legal standing to speak for us all.
